In Goa, the boat operators operate on the rivers in the backwaters primarily on Mandovi River.  If the weather turns unfavourable, the team will call in advance you warn you. You too keep an eye on the weather and call the operator and get an up to date operational readiness.

Mumbai is surrounded by sea. There is fair season during which sailing and yachting is allowed. During foul season, all including fisher folks are advised not to go out into the sea.
